Welcome to Dr. Elwanda C. Richardson
Elwanda C. Richardson is a native of Kansas City, Missouri. She is the daughter of the late El Wanda C. Smith and Frederick D. Smith. She is a member of the Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ (CMBCOJC) under the leadership of Pastor B.G. Roberson. Elwanda serves as the Minister of Music and the Director of the Women’s Ministry at CMBCOJC. She is the Board Chair of the Kansas City Performing Music and Arts Association (KCPMAA), a not-for-profit organization established in 1994, and serves as the music director for the Kansas City Mass Choir.
Elwanda is a former Kansas Arts Commissioner, a current member of the Harry Fox Agency, and a writer/publisher affiliated with the Broadcast Music Industry (BMI). Still, above all, she is a Christian who has fallen completely in love with the Triune God. Elwanda ministers to the heart and soul. She is not only known as a gospel music composer/singer/preacher, but the Lord is using her to mentor and minister to women, sharing with them the Word of God to strengthen their faith and discipleship to become imitators of Jesus Christ (1 Cor 11:1), so that they can share with others about the One who can mend broken hearts, minds, bodies, and soul. Her message seeks to inspire, heal, strengthen, encourage, and deliver by sharing the “good news” about Jesus Christ.
Elwanda holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Business Management and a minor in Religious Studies from Rockhurst University, Kansas City, MO. She also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Avila College, Kansas City, MO. She has a Graduate Certificate in Biblical Studies and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Theology and Apologetics from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. She received her Certificate of License as a Minister and Preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ under the leadership of Pastor B.G. Roberson. Elwanda is married to Duane Hill Richardson, and together, they have four sons and fourteen grandchildren.
